Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers with Sausage and Cheddar
Air fryer jalapenos with sausage and cheddar are a party pleasing appetizer that are easy to make and share. Serve the poppers with some ranch dipping sauce to go with the slight kick from the jalapenos.
- 8 whole large jalapenos, halved and seeded
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 0.25 cup breadcrumbs panko is best
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 0.5 cup green onions, sliced
- 0.5 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- salt and pepper
Mix all the ingredients (use half of the cheddar cheese and half the green onions) in a mixing bowl.
Stuff the jalapenos with this mixture.
Preheat air fryer to 400 deg. Place jalapeno poppers in air fryer and cook for about seven minutes. Place remaining cheddar cheese on top each jalapeno popper. Cook for another 3 to five minutes, or until cheese is melted and lightly browned.
Serve immediately. Serve with ranch dressing and garnish with extra green onions.
