Air fryer jalapeno poppers are a perfect appetizer to share that is sure to please. They’ve got a little heat and are stuffed with sausage, cheddar, and cream cheese. Pick them up and dip them in cool ranch mixed with green onions. Air fried poppers are easy and quick to make; the whole dish can be done in under 30 minutes.
Air Fried Jalapeno Poppers Ingredients
For the air fried jalapeno poppers, you’ll need:
- jalapenos, halved and seeded
- breakfast sausage
- cream cheese
- cheddar, shredded
- bread crumbs
- green onion
- garlic, grated
Besides the jalapenos, all these ingredients will be stuffed into the jalapeno halves.

Making Jalapeno Poppers in Air Fryer
First, cook the sausage and set aside. Discard the fat.
Slice the jalapenos into halves and remove the interior.

Put the rest of the ingredients in a mixing bowl (reserving some cheddar cheese and green onions). Mix gently until ingredients come together.

Stuff the jalapeno halves with the mixture.

Cook in preheated air fryer for about seven minutes. Top the air fried jalapeno poppers with the additional cheddar cheese, and cook for another five minutes, until cheese is melted and slightly browned.
Serving Air Fried Jalapeno Poppers
Serve air fried jalapeno poppers immediately with ranch dressing. Garnish with the green onions.

Ingredients
- 8 whole large jalapenos, halved and seeded
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 0.25 cup breadcrumbs panko is best
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 0.5 cup green onions, sliced
- 0.5 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients (use half of the cheddar cheese and half the green onions) in a mixing bowl.
- Stuff the jalapenos with this mixture.
- Preheat air fryer to 400 deg. Place jalapeno poppers in air fryer and cook for about seven minutes. Place remaining cheddar cheese on top each jalapeno popper. Cook for another 3 to five minutes, or until cheese is melted and lightly browned.
- Serve immediately. Serve with ranch dressing and garnish with extra green onions.

Love that this recipe is easy to remember, it’s definitely a keeper. In place of cheddar I’ve also used shredded gouda and some Parmesan, another time gruyere. Sometimes extra smashed garlic you know whatever is on hand. Always delicious! Mucho gratious!
